World War 1 Service of Commemoration

There was a great show of support from the Arkley Community on Sunday to mark the one hundredth Anniversary of the start of the First World War.
Starting with a service at St Peter’s Church, and a laying of some wreaths at the memorial on Barnet Road, the party of people which included the Lord Lieutenant who was representing the Queen, and Theresa Villiers MP were then invited to the Arkley Club where another wreath was laid at the memorial within the Club.
After this, the guests were then served refreshments at the Arkley Club.
