We celebrated reopening with karaoke!
We were pleased as punch to celebrate reopening properly after the stresses of the past 18 months, welcoming Ron and his gear back to the Club on Saturday 11 November.
It’s so good to hear singing in the Club again!
World War 1 Service of Commemoration
There was a great show of support from the Arkley Community on Sunday to mark the one hundredth Anniversary of the start of the First World War.
Starting with a service at St Peter’s Church, and a laying of some wreaths at the memorial on Barnet Road, the party of people which included the Lord Lieutenant who was representing the Queen, and Theresa Villiers MP were then invited to the Arkley Club where another wreath was laid at the memorial within the Club.
After this, the guests were then served refreshments at the Arkley Club.
